Crossing the finishline in Lenzerheide, illustrated the closing of my tumbling World Cup 2021 chapter. I rode 3 out of the 6 World Cup races. P23, P24 and P21 in the cross country races. World Cup racing is surely something special and I’m a little (a lot) addicted to the adrenaline.

My World Cup season didn’t bring me so much 'glory' in those 3 races, but it really reminded me that more than anything I do this sport because I just love the sport. I enjoyed myself a lot out there between the tape, even when my racing wasn’t on point. And somehow that feels like a win in itself? Like that’s how you know you’re pursuing the right career path, right?
(Happiness is everything, that's what I have figured out in my 24 years ;) )

And yes yes I did have some amazing races this year. On the two days I really had looked most forward to; The Olympics and the World championships! Those were my best performances of the year, and honestly if I had to choose, those two days were the most important to me.
But back to the World Cups! Inside of me I know I’m capable of more than what these results indicates, and I’m super motivated to change things up and work better for next year. If it was easy it wouldn’t be fun anyway! (And psst.. I want to ride in the front)

After finishing the race in Lenzerheide I had an almost empty feeling inside. I had a beer under the shower and then I sat under the stars for hours, with a good friend talking about life, and how small we are in this universe. Very cliche, haha, but sometimes it feels good to have these emotional moments. I love how the stars brings me back down to earth, like honestly how small am I and my ‘problems’.  We better enjoy those 100 years we might have here!
Those were my best performances of the year, and honestly if I had to choose those two days were the most important to me.

There is another World Cup round in Snowshoe, USA, but as other riders I will skip it, the season has been long and the fatigue is building up. So I have other fun plans coming up this month. Follow along on my Instagram so see what’s up :)
Clue: speed!

Thanks for reading along. I should write more.
