A weekly write

​Starting from where I left off, my old lady of a car survived the trip to the mountains of Andorra. Required quite a lot of first gear pushing, including one time to the police station, because I apparently parked illegally. Who knew? Well, they knew... Nevertheless, I got my car back!
And aaanyway, I didn’t need it, as I was there for a cycling ‘mini’ training camp
​(p.s the police station part is not my proudest moment...).

For myself, I tried to do more than first gear pushing. The plan was 4 productive days with my coach and his little squad. They have been spending their time in high altitude for some weeks, while I stayed low and just met them for the suffer parties. Intervals in 2000 meters altitude hits different. Like Auch. But the pain somehow makes me feel good, at least afterwards. Also, after the painful days comes the fun days – trail days! Vallnord bike park offers some easier trails which are doable on the xc bikes – and makes for much fun.

​Now back in Spain to repack and reset for the upcoming challenges. A 48h stop over to get ready for some weeks on the world cup circuit. We start in Albstadt, Germany, on Friday with a short track race. I’m starting in 2nd row and I’m so excited to see what I can do from there.
I will be racing on the Alma, Orbea’s hard tail, so precision and out of the saddle pushing will be what's on the menu. 
World Cup weekends are always big challenges, but, I know it sounds cliché, it's also what dreams are made of. Feeling the adrenalin, the hype, the atmosphere is just worth it all. Cheesy but true haha. 

As I'm writing this I'm chilling in my sofa. I'm supposed to pack and do some grocery shopping. But the clothes I just washed and hang to dry is all wet again, because it started to rain, so that's just great. Plus to go grocery shopping you need to get dressed. And who like to wear pants anyway? Not even talking about bras. Dah, okay okay, I stop writing and I will go.
